Even if it is the same 3 nights and 4 days, a trip to the beach every day is different from a trip by car to see royal tombs. Before deciding on a city based solely on flight prices, write down one activity you really want to do on this vacation and one burden you want to reduce. This article compares the site's seven Vietnam itineraries on that basis. This is not an article that adds new tourist attractions, but rather a starting point to help you choose which itinerary to choose from among the already prepared itineraries.

It is not a ranking of overall difficulty or popularity of the destination. Traveling with parents: check the journey back to your hotel
How much you can see in a day may be more important than whether you can get back to your accommodation along the way. If you want to combine downtown dining and beach walks, consider starting with the Nha Trang city itinerary. If relaxing time within the hotel is a priority, Phu Quoc is a good candidate, but if you choose accommodation outside the hotel, you can call a car for every meal. Hue is good when you have a clear taste for history and need to adjust to reducing the number of royal tombs with lots of steps. Consecutive nights in and of themselves do not mean less walking or stairs.
If the sea is your goal, look at Da Nang·Nha Trang·Phu Quoc differently.
The Da Nang·Hoi An itinerary is not just a beach vacation, but also includes themed tours and accommodations in the old town. Nha Trang consists of staying on the city's beaches, mixing dining out and short sightseeing, while Phu Quoc features a greater proportion of lodging breaks. Don't just compare the three locations based on beach photos; decide how much time you actually want to spend at the hotel. If swimming is key, you'll want to double-check the beach access and pool availability of the property you're booking, as well as sea conditions for the days of your trip.
Solo travelers: recalculate private transport costs
If the accommodation and vehicle budget shared by two people is applied to a single person trip, it will be different from the actual expenditure. Compare Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, which view the city center by district, but the Ha Long Bay tour looks at gathering methods and inclusions separately. You are responsible for paying the full cost of transportation to and from Hue royal tombs by car or outlying accommodation. When comparing a day ride with driver versus a private transfer, check not only the price, but also whether you'll need to get a ride back locally.
A Friday-night flight may change your travel calendar
The itinerary is titled 4 days and the four days you can sightsee are different. If your flight is scheduled to arrive early in the morning, you will need to rest the morning of the first day and make sure to reserve accommodation the day before. Arrival time is key, especially since Hue posts a long ride back from Da Nang Airport. For full-day itineraries, such as Ha Long Bay in Hanoi, consider arranging them on the day after your late arrival. The time it takes to get to your accommodation after arrival rather than the flight time may change your choice.
Budget comparison recalculates under the same conditions
The budget in each article is a planning assumption, not the lowest price you have viewed. Please do not use this as a ranking material to determine which city is the cheapest. To compare, select the same date, number of people, and room level, and combine the accommodation cost with the airport round-trip, local transportation, and entrance fees. It is also important not to compare one accommodation with breakfast included and the other with room only. If the activity you want is an add-on experience, keep it as an optional expense separate from your basic budget.
Let's see if we can subtract one city before adding two more.
Even if it's your first trip and you want to see it all, adding domestic flights to 4 days and 3 nights will quickly shorten your stay at the hotel. Once you've chosen two cities, try choosing one itinerary with a clearer purpose. There is a difference between a combination designed from the beginning that includes accommodation transfers, such as Da Nang·Hoi An, and a new connection between separate cities. If you leave places with similar tastes as candidates for your next trip, the preparation process will be simpler.
