Two nights by the coast, then one in Hoi An.
Give Da Nang time for both the beach and a full Ba Na Hills day, then move south through the Marble Mountains to Hoi An. One overnight stay lets you see the old streets after dark and again in the morning without returning to Da Nang the same evening. This itinerary assumes two adults, arrival at Da Nang International Airport (DAD) around 13:00–15:00 and an international departure after 14:00 on day four. Flights and connections are additional to these four local days. A late arrival or early departure means shortening the first or final day.

Your day-by-day route
Arrive, reach the beach and keep dinner simple
- 01Arrive at DAD around 13:00–15:00. Allow 60–90 minutes for immigration and baggage before meeting your car.
- 02Allow roughly 15–25 minutes by car to a My Khe Beach hotel, plus traffic. Check the fare and pickup point in your chosen app or with the official transport service.
- 03Check in or leave your bags, then take a short beach walk. Swim only if local conditions and safety flags allow it. For a later arrival, skip the beach.
- 04Try mi Quang for dinner if the restaurant is open and fits your route. Mì Quảng 1A is a city stop rather than a beachside restaurant, so allow an extra car ride.
- 05If you have energy, visit the Han River and Dragon Bridge area. Treat a fire-and-water show as optional and check the day's official notice rather than planning around an assumed performance.
The My Khe transfer estimate does not apply unchanged to a Non Nuoc resort. Allow dinner timing to follow your actual arrival rather than rushing to an exact reservation.
Give Ba Na Hills a whole day
- 01Have breakfast around 06:30 and plan a hotel departure around 07:15 in a reserved car or suitable shuttle. Confirm the pickup location and return arrangement.
- 02Aim for the cable car around 08:30, subject to current operating hours. The Da Nang tourism portal's 2026 reference lists a standard non-resident adult ticket at VND 1,000,000; confirm your date and package before buying.
- 03Visit the Golden Bridge, Le Jardin d'Amour and French Village according to weather, queues and the areas included in your ticket.
- 04Eat before the busiest lunch period if possible. If buying a buffet combination ticket, check the included restaurant and meal window.
- 05Aim to descend around 15:30–16:30, with room for queues or weather disruption. Have dinner at Bánh Xèo Bà Dưỡng if practical, then return to the hotel.
A clear sky at the coast does not guarantee a clear mountain view. Check official cable-car operations. Do not promise yourself a cloud-free Golden Bridge photograph.
Marble Mountains on the way to Hoi An
- 01Have breakfast and check out around 07:30. Load your luggage into a prebooked car and agree on safe luggage handling during your sightseeing stop.
- 02Aim to visit Thuy Son in the Marble Mountains around 08:30. The tourism portal lists adult entry at VND 40,000; lifts and additional areas may cost extra. Wear shoes suited to steps and slippery surfaces.
- 03Around 10:30, continue to your Hoi An hotel, allowing roughly 30–40 minutes for this leg plus traffic. Store your bags until your room is ready.
- 04Have lunch at Morning Glory Original if it is open and available, then take a hotel break. Do not assume an early-afternoon room is guaranteed.
- 05Return to Old Town in the afternoon. Check the admission arrangements and opening times for the Japanese Covered Bridge and assembly halls, then enjoy the riverside and lantern-lit streets in the evening.
Buy tickets appropriate to the historic interiors you want to visit; street walking and access to individual attractions are not the same thing. A Ha My Beach resort needs a return car instead of a walk back from Old Town.
A short morning, then back to DAD
- 01Have breakfast and, if your flight allows, take a short morning walk through Old Town or near the central market.
- 02For a flight around 14:00, collect your bags and aim to leave Hoi An around 09:30–10:00, adjusting for road conditions. Do not wait for a chicken-rice restaurant to open.
- 03Allow roughly 45–60 minutes for the drive to DAD, with additional room for traffic and bad weather. Aim to arrive at least three hours before your international departure.
- 04If your flight is substantially later, Cơm Gà Bà Buội can be a meal option after confirming opening hours. Any queue must fit around your already-set airport departure time.
The airport journey takes priority over a final restaurant stop. For an early flight, leave out the morning walk; for a domestic connection, follow your airline's own check-in and baggage rules.

Why this route works
Why move hotels only once?
Two Da Nang nights avoid packing on the Ba Na Hills day. Visiting the Marble Mountains during the southbound transfer saves a separate return journey, and one Hoi An night adds an evening and morning in the old streets. Tell the driver about the sightseeing stop, luggage, waiting time and final hotel when asking for a quote.
Choose the hotel district deliberately
My Khe is the default Da Nang base in this plan. Hyatt Regency is farther south on Non Nuoc Beach, while The Nam Hai is on Ha My Beach outside Hoi An Old Town. Those resorts can suit a hotel-focused trip, but they change meal transfers and evening returns. Hoi An Historic is the more practical of these options for walking to Old Town.
Keep weather alternatives realistic
Heavy rain, strong wind and local flooding notices can change beach, mountain and Old Town plans. Follow attraction and transport notices rather than keeping every stop at any cost. If Ba Na Hills is unavailable, spend that day in Da Nang instead of trying to squeeze it into the hotel-transfer or flight day.

Try central Vietnamese mi Quang noodles, often served with a small amount of broth, herbs and a rice cracker. Ask about shrimp, pork or chicken and have herbs on the side if preferred. The city location needs a ride from My Khe; verify the current address and hours.

Bánh Xèo Bà Dưỡng
An option for bánh xèo and nem lụi with herbs and wrappers. Save the exact address because similarly named signs can appear around the lane entrance. Check ingredients, including peanut-based sauces, and leave enough time to reach the restaurant from your shuttle drop-off.

Compare cao lầu noodles, white rose dumplings and vegetable dishes at this Old Town restaurant. Confirm the Original branch and service hours. A lunch stop before hotel rest fits the route, but it is not a guaranteed walk-in table.

Hoi An chicken rice is a useful meal to try during your stay. Check when the restaurant opens. With a 14:00 flight on day four, eat it on day three or choose another meal; waiting for a late-morning opening would compromise the airport buffer.

A Nam Hai stay can put accommodation well above this range. Confirm the full cost of the Ba Na Hills transfer, ticket package and any extra meals, rather than assuming every service is included.
