Da Lat in 4 days: lakes, coffee and highland walks

2026. 09. 073 NIGHTS · 4 DAYS

ARC RECORD · VIETNAM

A lake instead of the sea, a longer morning than the middle of the day.

Dalat requires a different rhythm than a beach trip. It is convenient to see the lake and surrounding hills in the morning and rest at a cafe or lodging in the afternoon, when it is prone to rain. This itinerary consists of 3 consecutive nights in the city, with one day visiting Coffee in the north and one day visiting Chung Lam Temple and Tuyen Lam Lake in the south. It is not a course that fills you with waterfalls, mountain peaks, and tourist trains, but a trip that still leaves time for a cup of coffee and viewing the scenery. Assumes 2 adults, arriving in town on the first afternoon and departing the afternoon on the last day.

This is a suggested itinerary based on official tourism and facility data. This is not a direct visit review or real-time reservation quote. Travel times are estimates for planning purposes, and the times below are visit goals set separately from facility business hours.

3 NIGHTS · 4 DAYS

The route I follow one day at a time

DAY 01

Drop off in town and walk just part of the lake

  1. 01Once you've confirmed your flight to Lien Khuong Airport, plan on picking up your baggage and taking a 40-60 minute drive into the city. When making meal reservations on the first day, please consider the allowance for entry and transit.
  2. 02Check in to the hotel around 15:00 and prepare light outerwear and comfortable shoes.
  3. 0316:00 Walk around Xuan Huong Lake and Lambien Square. Don't aim to circumnavigate the entire lake, but only choose sections close to your accommodation.
  4. 04In the evening, we will have a hot meal in the city and then take a short tour around Da Lat Market. If it rains, the market walk will be moved to the next day.

Lien Khuong Airport completed runway construction and resumed operations on August 19, 2026. This article does not assume any specific direct flight from Korea. Confirm the airline's travel dates and transfer conditions first and then make a hotel reservation. If arriving by land, it applies from the time of arrival in the city.

DAY 02

The North Coffee experience focuses on one reserved location

  1. 0108:00 After breakfast, consider visiting K’Ho Coffee in the direction of Lang Biang. Please depart only if you have confirmed the experience availability date, meeting location, and required time in advance.
  2. 02Approximately 30–50 minutes will be provisionally allocated by car from downtown to your northern destination, again calculated based on the actual address provided by the company.
  3. 03According to the confirmed program, we listen to stories about farms, roasting, and coffee, and return to the city around lunchtime. Harvest and experience contents may vary depending on the season.
  4. 04If you don't have a reservation, we'll change it to a visit to La Viet Cafe downtown and a walk to Linh Son Temple. This is an alternative to avoiding situations where you go far and the door is closed.
  5. 05After 15:00, you will rest at your accommodation and have dinner nearby. There is no need to climb to the top of Lang Biang after your morning coffee visit.

The official introduction of K’Ho Coffee describes the Arabica coffee cooperative of families from the Lang Biang region. Farm visits are featured on the tourism board, but this does not currently mean permanent operation of the experience or same-day admission. Please exclude entering the farm without company confirmation from your itinerary.

DAY 03

Spend a day south to Truc Lam Pagoda and Tuyen Lam Lake.

  1. 0108:00–08:30 Transfer from your accommodation towards Truc Lam Pagoda. Expect a 20–35 minute drive from downtown.
  2. 02Before and after 09:00 quietly explore the public areas and gardens of the temple. Follow the performance space, access restrictions, and clothing guidelines.
  3. 0310:30 Transfer to accessible walking point at Tuyen Lam Lake. This course does not walk the entire lakeshore or traverse the resort grounds.
  4. 04If you plan to have lunch near the lake, check in advance whether it is actually open and open to outside guests. If you can't decide, come back downtown and eat.
  5. 0514:00–15:00 After returning to the accommodation, I relax at a cafe or read. On a clear day, take a short walk before sunset along the section of the lake that you didn't see on the first day.

If you want to use the Robin Hill Cable Car, check the operation, break times, one-way and round-trip tickets for the day and exchange the vehicle section. If it is not possible to operate due to strong winds or maintenance, we will travel by car, and if it rains heavily, we will shorten the outdoor schedule.

DAY 04

Finish your last morning at a nearby cafe.

  1. 0108:00 After breakfast, we drink our last coffee around the accommodation and pack up our bags.
  2. 02If you buy coffee beans or tea, check the country of origin, grinding, and packaging. Air carry-on conditions are in accordance with the purchased items and airline standards.
  3. 03If you have a flight, depart at the airline's recommended arrival time for domestic or international flights, adding approximately 40–60 minutes for the city-to-airport transfer and additional time.
  4. 04For transfers to international flights in Ho Chi Minh City, etc., first check whether it is the same reservation or whether baggage recheck-in is required. If ticketed separately, avoid short transfer intervals.
  5. 05If you are traveling by land to Nha Trang, consider this as a travel day and reduce sightseeing on the day. Airport travel times in this article do not apply to intercity travel.

For example, if you plan to arrive at the domestic airport 2 hours before departure, you can plan to depart downtown about 3–3.5 hours before departure. Actual deadlines and recommended arrival times are subject to airline announcements.

PLAN WITH A REASON

Why travel in this order

Da Lat sees hills and doorways rather than streets

A route that appears to be 10 minutes on the map will feel different if it includes uphill and stairs. If you plan to walk the market every day, check the actual walking route from your accommodation to the market. If you are traveling with parents or children, it may be a good idea to budget for short rides even from the centre. Wear walking shoes and light outerwear, and slow down on wet, rocky roads.

If you choose accommodation near Tuyen Lam Lake, you will spend less time eating downtown.

The beauty of lakeside resorts is that you can leave your room and relax close to the woods and water. If you go to the market and cafe every day, it's difficult to take advantage of it. The basic base for this article is downtown, but if you choose a lake accommodation, it is natural to increase outdoor time on the third day and spend dinner at the hotel. Even if there is a free shuttle, check the frequency and return service.

The Da Lat Station tourist train is not an intercity transfer.

The Tourism Office introduces a tourist train that goes from Da Lat Station towards Chay Mat. This is not a long-distance transfer directly connected to the railway between North and South Vietnam. If you really want to ride it, swap it out for a half-day instead of visiting North Coffee and check the actual departure and return times. Neither the North Farm nor the South Lake are included on the day you choose to visit Tray Mat and Linh Phuoc Temple.

If rain is forecast, the outdoor section will be held in the morning.

Da Lat is generally rainy from spring to fall, so there is less flexibility in booking outdoor attractions throughout the day. If rain is forecast for the afternoon, return to the lake or the cafe behind the temple in the morning. Waterfalls, canyoning, and long-distance hiking were not included in the basic itinerary of this article. When choosing separately, you must check weather and operating conditions with a professional operator.

EAT ALONG THE ROUTE

Meals to choose from within the route

DAY 2 or DAY 3 · Morning

Banh can — a warm breakfast

Banchan, baked in a small mold, is a comparable breakfast menu at Da Lat. Check the composition of the sauce that goes with the eggs, and order a small portion of the freshly baked ones. Your morning commute will be shorter if you start at an open restaurant near your accommodation rather than deciding on a specific store.

A light meal on a chilly day

Banh Mi Siu Mai · Bread and warm soup

It is a meal candidate served with bread in a warm soup with meatballs. If you've had banh mi sandwiches in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, you can compare them in different ways. Adjust your order size depending on whether you want to eat it as a snack or a meal.

Check the official introduction ↗

DAY 2 · Downtown alternative

La Viet Coffee

This is a cafe candidate where you can take a look at Da Lat's coffee culture. The tourism office features coffee and roasting spaces, but that doesn't mean tours are automatically offered at this time. Check the official channels to check the address and operation of the branch you plan to visit, and do not confuse the company address with the cafe entrance.

Check the official introduction ↗

DAY 2 · Upon confirmation of reservation

K’Ho Coffee

This is a place to introduce Arabica coffee produced by families in the Langbiang region. If you want to experience it, please inquire about the date, number of people, language, and transportation first. Check whether lunch is included as the farm coffee visit and meal provision may be separate.

Check the official introduction ↗

The restaurant is a candidate for your schedule. Please check again at the branch you plan to visit for business availability, reservation availability, and menu prices. Even if the business name is the same, if the location is different, the travel time will be different.
