ARC RECORD · INDONESIA

Looking forward to getting out on the water? Settle in first, then take a boat trip during your three-night mainland stay, with time for a cave and the coast too.

For two adults arriving at LBJ before noon and leaving after 6 pm on Day 4. Choose a mainland hotel rather than an offshore property requiring a boat. Plan a day tour including Padar on Day 2 and ask whether Day 3 could be an alternative after cancellation; a replacement departure is not guaranteed.

A proposed itinerary based on official tourism and property sources, not a firsthand review or live booking quote. Travel times are planning estimates. Suggested visit times are not opening hours. All times are local to Indonesia.

MAKE IT YOUR TRIP

Keep the moments you came for

Make time for this

Make Padar’s landscape and time in the harbor town the anchors. If wildlife or snorkeling matters, choose a route that explicitly includes those stops.

Arrange the trip around it

Confirm sailing clearance, route, guides, park fees and weather cancellation terms. If the reserve day is also unsuitable, finish on land and keep the departure day free of boats.

Planning notes reviewed on 10 September 2026. Check the dated transport and property sources below for your travel dates.

3 NIGHTS · 4 DAYS

Your day-by-day route

DAY 01

Settle into the harbour town

  1. 01Transfer to your hotel for lunch, check-in and rest. Arrange town transport if staying at an outlying resort.
  2. 02In the late afternoon, view the harbour and boats from public waterfront areas, distinguishing working docks from walking routes.
  3. 03Eat in town and confirm the boat meeting time, point and cancellation terms.
  4. 04Prepare water, a hat and walking shoes and rest early, protecting items that must stay dry.

The harbour photograph is historical; use your operator’s current meeting-point instructions.

DAY 02

A boat day including Padar Island

  1. 01Reach the meeting point after confirming operations and safety arrangements. Check which park charges, guiding and meals are included.
  2. 02On Padar, follow guidance on permitted paths towards viewpoints, turning back early if heat or steps are unsuitable.
  3. 03Choose the route around your main interest: time on Padar for the stepped viewpoint, or an itinerary that explicitly includes the relevant wildlife or snorkelling stops, guides and equipment. Actual visits follow your booked route and conditions; none are automatic inclusions.
  4. 04Return to the mainland and rest at the hotel without adding a long road outing.

Don’t press for departure in unsuitable sea conditions; the photographed view doesn’t guarantee landing access.

DAY 03

Batu Cermin cave and time ashore

  1. 01If the boat day ran as planned, travel to Batu Cermin in the morning and check opening and guiding arrangements.
  2. 02Follow guidance through open cave sections, choosing the entrance area only if slippery floors or narrow passages are unsuitable.
  3. 03Return after lunch to rest and arrange any essentials in town.
  4. 04If a cancelled boat trip moves to today, omit the cave. Pack in the evening.

If no replacement boat runs, keep the land day; a short visit may leave some places unseen because of weather.

DAY 04

A Pede Beach morning before departure

  1. 01In the morning, confirm a public access point to Pede Beach and make a short visit by vehicle.
  2. 02Enjoy the coast from shade and return, distinguishing hotel facilities from public beach areas.
  3. 03Have breakfast, check out, collect bags and eat an early lunch.
  4. 04Transfer to LBJ without adding a departure-day boat or island visit.

Even a hotel near the airport needs the airline’s check-in buffer; keep late boat-return risk off the final day.

PLAN WITH A REASON

Why this route works

Why choose a mainland hotel

Harbour hotels simplify meetings, while Waecicu or Pede resorts suit more hotel time. Distinguish mainland properties from offshore hotels with similar names.

Compare the full boat quote

Compare park charges for your visitor category, guiding, meals, pickup and cancellation terms as well as Padar inclusion. A headline fare may not be the final total.
