Cross the river from the market,
To Chaya Street
If you walk northeast from Omicho Market, you will reach Kazuemachi first, and if you cross the Asano River, you will reach Higashi Chaya. Even though it is the same wooden street, the tranquility of the riverside and the atmosphere of the main street where shops are gathered are different, so the first afternoon is not monotonous.
To avoid morning group tourists, it is better to go after 15:00. The last entry time to see inside a traditional tea house is early, so decide on just one place to visit in advance.
AUTUMN CORE
Start in the garden,
To samurai alley
Kenrokuen in November is the time when you can see both autumn leaves and yukitsuri (ropes supporting trees against snow). By crossing the castle to see the 21st Century Art Museum and then heading down southwest to Nagamachi, you can connect Kanazawa's tradition and modernity in one day without having to retrace the same route.
WHERE TO STAY
Two ryokans,
Two cost-effective hotels
Recommendation Conclusion
If the accommodation itself is the purpose of your trip, go to Kinjo, and if you want access to the station and traditional meals, go to Kanazawa Chaya. The balance of movement, hot springs, and breakfast is a no-no, but if you prioritize price and design, SOKI is the most realistic. We recommend staying 2 nights in any place.
