Smaller than Kyoto,
An easy rhythm between neighborhoods.
Join Omicho Market and Chaya Street on the eastern axis on the first day, and walk west from Kenrokuen to the castle, art museum, and Nagamachi on the second day. The last day is a 3-day, 2-night stay in Kanazawa, leaving only Nishi-Chaya and Katamachi and no round-trip travel to sightseeing spots.
If you cross Ishikawamon from Kenrokuen, you’ll reach Kanazawa Castle Park.

Cross the river from the market,
To Chaya Street
If you walk northeast from Omicho Market, you’ll reach Kazuemachi first, and if you cross the Asano River, you’ll reach Higashi Chaya. Even though it’s the same wooden street, the tranquility of the riverside and the atmosphere of the main street where shops are gathered are different, so the first afternoon is not monotonous.
To avoid morning group tourists, it’s better to go after 15:00. The last entry time to see inside a traditional tea house is early, so decide on just one place to visit in advance.
AUTUMN CORE

To samurai alley
Kenrokuen in November is the time when you can see both autumn leaves and yukitsuri (ropes supporting trees against snow). By crossing the castle to see the 21st Century Art Museum and then heading down southwest to Nagamachi, you can connect Kanazawa's tradition and modernity in one day without having to retrace the same route.

Accommodation is per person, sharing a double room, and varies greatly depending on whether two meals at the ryokan are included. Flights, long-distance trains, and shopping are excluded. Kenrokuen costs ¥320 for adults, and museum paid exhibitions have different rates depending on the exhibition.
