Getting to know Jakarta? Stay two nights in the centre and explore a monument, the old town and a museum on separate days.
A city trip for two adults arriving at CGK before noon and leaving after 6 pm on Day 3. Choose one main district each day to allow for traffic. Airport rail still needs a station-to-hotel connection; compare the full journey with a vehicle transfer if carrying heavy bags. This route suits an interest in city history and exhibitions. If two museums feel like too much, keep Kota Tua to architecture and lunch, then select only the National Museum displays that interest you.

- 03Have lunch in Kota Tua and rest at a café around Fatahillah Square with the old buildings in view. This is a useful meeting point if a companion skips the museum. Keep the harbour out of the walking route.

If museums are closed, keep the exterior walk and move indoor exhibits to another day.
