Fujinomiya is a small city that is closest to the mighty Mt. Fuji, but is also naturally connected to shrines, springs, waterfalls, and lakes. Instead of forcing an amusement park or a distant hot spring, we organized it at a pace that could actually be digested over 3 days and 2 nights.

At Shiraito Falls
To Lake Tanuki
Shiraito Falls is about 30 minutes by bus from Fujinomiya Station. Mt. Fuji's undercurrent flows down a curved cliff about 20 meters high and 150 meters wide. Afterward, head to Lake Tanuki, where you can get your last view of Mt. Fuji of the day from the lakeside walkway.
Bus timetables may vary depending on the season and day of the week, so please double-check the official timetable just before departure.

Fujinomiya Yakisoba
At Omiya Yokocho, between Sengen Taisha and the World Heritage Center, you can enjoy Fujinomiya yakisoba and gelato. If you add it to your itinerary on the first day, you can experience local food without any extra travel.

Recommendation Conclusion
If you want to do the entire trip without a car, Kameya Ryokan or Kuretake Inn are the most convenient options. If hot springs and kaiseki are the core of your trip, Suikoen Sakura is the place to go, and if you want a room close to the station and a room with a view of Mt. Fuji, Fujikyu Hotel is the place for you. If you prioritize travel efficiency, stay two nights in a row at one accommodation.

Accommodation costs range from a room for two at a cost-effective hotel in front of the station to two meals included at a hot spring ryokan. If breakfast and dinner at a ryokan are included, separate meal costs are reduced. Airline tickets and long-distance rail costs after arrival in Japan are excluded.
