Busan in 4 days: old-town markets, Haeundae and Gwangalli

Busan Station to Seomyeon and Jeonpo

1. 01Assume arrival at Busan Station before 12:00. Take metro Line 1 toward Seomyeon, allowing roughly 30–50 minutes to your hotel including walking.
2. 02Leave your bags and eat nearby, with pork-and-rice soup as one option. Rest at a café or explore briefly until check-in.
3. 03Walk around Jeonpo’s café area in the afternoon. Choose one or two cafés and a few lanes, shortening the outing if shopping takes longer.
4. 04Have dinner in Seomyeon and rest. Save Haeundae for the coast day instead of making a late return on arrival day.

From Gimhae Airport, take the light rail to Sasang and transfer to metro Line 2 toward Seomyeon, or use a vehicle. Airport-to-hotel timing differs from the Busan Station transfer.

Gamcheon first, then Nampo and Jagalchi

1. 01Leave around 09:00 toward Toseong Station, then take a local bus or taxi to Gamcheon Culture Village. Allow roughly 60–90 minutes from the hotel.
2. 02Follow the public visitor route for a short walk and views. Doorsteps, stairs and lanes are residents’ living spaces; keep quiet and stay out of private areas.
3. 03Head down toward Nampo and Jagalchi for lunch. If choosing seafood at Jagalchi, confirm the combined purchase, table-setting and preparation charges first.
4. 04Explore one area around BIFF Square or Gukje Market, then return to Seomyeon. Leave Songdo’s cable car out of this day.

Gamcheon has slopes and stairs. For reduced mobility, shorten the visit to accessible viewpoints or spend more time around Nampo and Jagalchi.

Haeundae by day, Gwangalli toward evening

1. 01Take Line 2 from Seomyeon toward Haeundae around 09:00. Allow roughly 50–70 minutes including the walk from the station to the beach.
2. 02See Haeundae Beach and take a short walk around the Dongbaek area to the west. Choose a nearby indoor break in heat, rain or strong wind.
3. 03After lunch, travel to Gwangalli by metro or vehicle. Allow roughly 30–50 minutes between beach areas rather than planning to walk the whole way.
4. 04Relax on the beachfront or at a café with bridge views, have dinner and return to Seomyeon. Add a drone show only after checking the date and weather notice.

Sky Capsule, the Beach Train and Haedong Yonggungsa are not in the base route. Replace part of Haeundae or Gwangalli if adding one, with separate booking, transport and budget checks.

A Seomyeon morning before your train

1. 01Check out after breakfast and store your bags. Keep the morning to a nearby café or short walk.
2. 02For a train after 15:00, collect your bags around 12:30–13:00 and head to Busan Station as a planning example. Adjust to your booked departure.
3. 03Aim to reach the station at least 30 minutes before departure and check the train, carriage and seat. Do not confuse Busan Station with Bujeon Station.
4. 04If connecting to an international flight after reaching Seoul, calculate the separate airport transfer and airline deadlines. Arrival at Seoul Station is not arrival at the airport.

Rebuild the final transfer if departing from Gimhae Airport. The Busan Station timing is not an airport plan.
